Proposal to Extend OPT from 12 to 29 Months

In a November 8 letter to DHS Secretary Chertoff, 19 Senators urged the Secretary to extend optional practical training (OPT) from 12 to 29 months. NAFSA President and CEO Marlene M. Johnson also urged Secretary Chertoff to make this regulatory change.
