Academy for International Education

The Academy for International Education provides an opportunity to share knowledge, expertise, and leadership within the international education community through multi-faceted training and networking.

This nine-month program is comprised of three training segments, augmented by written assignments and guidance from a coach. The Academy provides broad exposure to key areas of international education but is flexible to meet individual needs and learning goals.

You should apply if you are new to the field of international education and interested in broadening your perspective of the field. You will also increase your professional ties by working with coaches and other professionals in the field.

What Do Academy Trainees Receive?

The program is developed to provide a comprehensive view of international education while allowing individuals to tailor the program to their own learning needs. All Academy trainees will receive:

• Free NAFSA membership for up to 18 months
• Free Adviser's Manual Online for up to 12 months
• Three-day Academy Spring Training
  (an introduction to the profession of international education)
• Four Academy CEP workshops
• NAFSA annual conference fees
• Regional conference registration fees
  (reduced/waived depending on regions)
• Two full-length CEP workshops
• Coaching from an experienced NAFSAn
