International Education for Persons with Disabilities (IEPD) SIG

The mission of the IEPD SIG is to increase awareness of the need to include students with disabilities in international exchange programs; to promote the exchange of information on best practices; to advocate, within and outside of NAFSA, for regulatory and policy changes to remove obstacles to the participation of students with disabilities in international exchange; and to increase the awareness in NAFSA of the need to make appropriate arrangements for persons with disabilities at national and regional conferences and other events.

2012 Conference Proposals

August 4, 2011 It's not too late to present at NAFSA's 2012 Annual Conference in Houston. Submit a proposal to present a poster session. Click the annual conference logo to be taken to NAFSA's annual conference proposal site. Visit the Call for Poster Proposals prior to sending a proposal to NAFSA. The deadline is December 15 … so post a request to your MIG's discussion forum and see if any of your fellow MIG members want to join you.
