Canadian Views on the Implications of the Bologna Process

May 2009

At a March 2009 conference at the University of Alberta, the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada presented a paper, The Bologna Process: Implications for Canadian Universities (94kb Icon PDF 16). Originally published in April 2008, along with the AUCC Statement (37kb Icon PDF 16), the paper contains:
  • an overview of the Bologna Process
  • updates on reactions in Australia/New Zealand, the U.S., and Mexico and Latin America; and
  • implications for Canadian Universities in the areas of:
    • international student recruitment
    • graduate admissions and credential evaluation
    • student mobility
A number of other presentations, papers, and summaries of small group discussions are included in the conference report on the University of Alberta's Web site.
