Profiles of Success at Colleges and Universities
Five institutions, from a strong and diverse set of submitted nominees, were chosen by the jury to receive the Senator Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization this year, and are profiled in depth in this report published by NAFSA: Association of International Educators. Three other institutions are spotlighted for their outstanding accomplishments in specific areas of internationalization.

The five institutions awarded the 2008 Senator Paul Simon Award for Internationalization are:
- Goucher College, Maryland
- Nebraska Wesleyan University, Nebraska
- Pittsburg State University, Kansas
- University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- Valparaiso University, Indiana
The three institutions spotlighted for outstanding accomplishments in specific areas of internationalization are:
- Colorado State University
- Miami Dade College, Florida
- Webster University, Missouri
A distinguished selection jury decided which schools from the submitted nominees would be chosen for the Senator Paul Simon Award for Internationalization and inclusion in the 2008 report. The members of the selection jury were:
- Brian Whalen (chair), associate dean of the college and executive director of Global Education, Dickinson College
- David Larsen, vice president and director for the Center for Education Abroad, Arcadia University
- Ron Roberson, vice president of Academic Affairs, Howard Community College
- Susan Buck Sutton, associate vice president of International Affairs, Indiana University
- Chunsheng Zhang, vice provost for International Affairs and Outreach, University of Oregon
