NAFSA International Education Week (IEW) Campus ConnectionNAFSA's new International Education Week (IEW) Campus Connection presented a full week of virtual programming in recognition of International Education Week, November 16 – 20, 2020. IEW Campus Connection featured keynote speakers on topics such as social justice, internationalization, and cutting-edge research on trends in international education, as well as NAFSA's annual Simon Award presentations and higher education internationalization presidential panel. Programming also featured an in-depth, expert analysis of the U.S. presidential election and the implications for international education.

Our Future: The Next Four Years

Examine the outcome of the 2020 U.S. election and how it will impact international education, diplomacy, and engagement with the world. This panel featured foreign policy expert, Richard Fontaine and higher-education expert Karin Fischer. Fontaine, who served under George W. Bush and as an advisor to Senator John McCain, and Fischer, a journalist with a focus on international education, will provide an insider’s view of what may come from elected officials in the next four years. In addition, NAFSA released the latest analysis and data from the International Student Economic Value Tool.

She served as the keynote for this special event.
