Are you currently interested in or focused on growing your professional network and building your CV or resume to achieve future career goals? Are you specifically interested in research opportunities and networking in the field of international education? As research in the field grows, we particularly seek to bring together current and future international educators from different areas of study to discuss ongoing trends and ideate future areas for consideration and collaboration.

Join this open event with NAFSA's Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship Knowledge Community (TLS KC) and the Research & Scholarship Network Subcommittee to network and discuss potential professional development opportunities, possibilities for successful and impactful collaboration, and how to share your work through different outlets such as publication opportunities, conference proposals/presentations, etc.

We encourage international educators at all levels (and especially students and early career scholar-practitioners) to join and share ideas, network, and explore collaborations. The event will provide opportunities for large-group discussion as well as breakout sessions. During the program, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the TLS KC and opportunities to get involved, regardless of where you are in your career;
  • Connect with fellow international educators to think through potential future directions for the field of international education;
  • Explore possible research collaborations, discuss ideas for future endeavors, and examine challenges in existing/current research; and
  • Discuss proposal ideas for sessions, workshops, and posters for events such as the NAFSA 2023 Annual Conference & Expo.

This event is free and open to everyone from students to scholar-practitioners/international education professionals at all levels. All are encouraged to come with any questions you may have. Participants should come prepared to listen, learn, and share with their peers.

Any questions about this event can be sent to NAFSA Staff via the Academic Affairs & Internationalization form.
