Coach, Academy for International Education
The Academy for International Education provides an opportunity to share knowledge, expertise, and leadership within the international education community through multi-faceted training and networking. This program is comprised of three training segments, augmented by written assignments and guidance from a coach. Academy coaches are volunteers who recruit and coach a cohort of 5-7 trainees. They represent a broad range of expertise and have worked in the field of international education for more than eight years. Each coach works with his/her trainees to facilitate the trainees' learning plans and teaches them how to navigate the world of NAFSA. They also advise trainees on workshop and session selections at the annual and fall regional conferences. Coaches must be able to commit 12 months to the program.
