NAFSA Volunteer Leadership: Open Positions

 

Hundreds of NAFSA members volunteer each year to help create and disseminate knowledge, influence public policy, and maintain a strong organization. These leaders serve on committees, knowledge communities, task forces, and in other volunteer roles. The work of the association could not be accomplished without their time and expertise. Serving in a leadership capacity offers a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth.

Open Appointed Positions

These positions are appointed to their roles per the NAFSA Standing Rules. Appointed positions are advertised in July and as openings occur throughout the calendar year. After receiving applications, the chairs of the committees review applications and contact potential candidates. Applications are reviewed within four to six weeks of the submission close date. Notifications on the status of an application occur within eight to twelve weeks thereafter.

Positions will remain open until filled.

Open Elected Positions

These positions are elected to their roles per the NAFSA Standing RulesIcon PDF 16. Applications are due in March and notifications on the status of an application occur by July. The election slate goes live in late summer (August/September).

Regional Team Positions
