Join this conversation with representatives from the Veterans Affairs Administration to learn about using GI Bill benefits for study abroad. Invite campus partners like your SCO or colleagues in the Veterans Affairs office to listen along.

A special focus of this conversation will be the VA’s latest study abroad guidance, which established an actionable pathway for GI Bill benefits to be applied to additional types of study abroad programs.  The new guidance, published in January 2024, is the result of the passage of the Veterans Auto & Education Improvement Act of 2022. This policy change has been a long-time focus for NAFSA advocacy efforts.

For a full recap of the changes, read NAFSA’s guidance: NAFSA.org/VABenefits
